Starting out as a House music producer under the alias “Dan Ryan,” Dan Zorn quickly carved out a place for himself in the Chicago club scene. After graduating from Columbia College in 2012, he began engineering at the infamous Studio 11 in downtown Chicago — a hotspot for artists across the electronic and mainstream music scene. Immersed in the world of club culture, Dan has worked with top-tier house and techno talents including Moonboots, DJ Hyperactive, Gene Farris, Brawther, Garrett David, Sweely, Steve “Silk” Hurley, Ed Nine, Basura Boys, Andrew Emil, Lee Pearson Jr., and Simone Green. His versatility has also brought him into sessions with major pop and hip-hop acts like Cardi B, Yelawolf, B.o.B., Rockie Fresh, and Born of Osiris. Beyond the studio, Dan has created both written and visual content for industry giants Waves Audio and Reverb.com. Simply put — music isn’t just what he does, it’s who he is.
Since the beginning of his time in Chicago, Dan has grown a reputation for his unique style of engineering- merging his musical production chops into every mix he works on. The result is always an end product that resonates a high level of musical understanding and a keen sense of technical mastery – creating mixes that excite all who listen.
